Our objective at United Xpress is to deliver your cargo in the same condition it was sent. Most transit damage happens because of weak boxes, empty space inside the carton, or poor sealing — all of which are avoidable. Follow the step-by-step method below, and if you would rather not pack it yourself, our team can do it at the branch or during pickup.
Use a new or near-new double-wall corrugated box. Leave 5–8 cm of space on every side for cushioning — the box should be snug, not tight and never oversized.
Every item gets its own layer of bubble wrap or foam. Fragile goods need 2–3 layers; electronics should go in anti-static wrap.
Pack voids with bubble wrap, packing peanuts, or crumpled kraft paper. Shake the box gently — nothing should move or rattle.
Use strong packing tape (not cello or duct tape). Tape along the centre seam and both edge seams so the flaps form an "H" — top and bottom.
Write shipper and consignee names, addresses, and phone numbers clearly on at least two sides. Attach the AWB pouch flat on the largest face.

Use a rigid document envelope or cardboard mailer — never fold. Add a cardboard stiffener for certificates and passports.
Original packaging is best. Otherwise double-box with anti-static wrap, and keep batteries installed (not loose) unless restricted.
Wrap each piece separately, pack upright, double-box with 8 cm cushioning between inner and outer boxes.
Seal homemade food in airtight food-grade containers first, then plastic-wrap the lid. Cushion jars so they cannot touch.
Tighten caps, seal with tape, bag each bottle in leak-proof plastic, and pack upright inside a lined box.
Compress in vacuum bags to cut volumetric weight — a courier bag is usually enough for non-fragile soft items.
Courier-mode packages should not exceed 30 kg per box. Split heavier loads into multiple cartons.
Carriers charge on L×W×H too. Right-size your box — an oversized carton costs more even if it is light.
Old cartons lose up to 50% of their strength. If you must reuse one, remove old labels and reinforce all seams.
Take photos of contents and the packed box — useful documentation if you ever need to file a damage claim.
